Well I'm absolutley over the moon, just had a email from Dave Smith to say he's sending out the subscription copies of Classic American today and the cover photo is from a shoot I did for the 40th Anniversary of the Charger. The shoot was with my '67 and Derek Carter's '68. So that's my photo of my car on the cover, two dreams come true in one 8-) There was a model in the shoot too called Christine, who looks a bit like Angelina Jolie cool

Can't stop smiling and I can't wait to see it

Hits the shops next week!

Congratulations! It's a great feeling going into Smith's and seeing your first ever front cover.

And nothing hurts more than having your potential cover shot for the BJP replaced at the last minute by a shite portrait of Trinnie and Suzanna weeping I was so upset that I wrote to the editor to complain hehe I wouldn't have minded if Mother Theresa was the replacement rolleyes

Well done BBB!
Post a scan of the cover when you get a chance, I'd love to see it...

[cloggie] What's the BJP? [/cloggie]

I can imagine some things which would fit that acronym, but none of them would be SFW

I celebrated my first cover last month.

Mind you, I do produce the magazine, and you're not likely to find it in Smiths, so it's not quite the same

I had to wear that lovely getup as well as it was a clean room

Congrats buggy thumbup

Excellent. I'm sure it's a great cover no matter which shot they used.

Thanks everyone

I warn you now you might not like them Matt, the idea behind the shoot was to give the shots the feel of the old Dodge ads from the 60s, back then skies were painted in bright blue and colours oversaturated so there is a fair bit of photoshop meddling

I am not averse to meddling...but it should be for good reason, and complement not dominate. Thats how you have always done it, and im sure it will look fantastic.

In due course, it'll no doubt feature in the missing words round of HIGNFY.

" A spoonful of sugar ---- --- -------- -- -----" and such like.

The British Journal of Photography.

They'd even done a mock up of the cover using my shot too! weeping
