Discussion
Bit quicker than I usually am in getting stuff uploaded, so here's a few of my faves from JapFest II at Donington on Saturday...and yes, the Evo WAS that orange (you should see the pink 'rex...follow the link at the bottom!!!).

The sharpness is deceptive...the angled lines didn't like the compression to 800-850 pixels wide, looking at them now. On the full-size pics (see link), the Scooby (my favourite) and the Mazda are pin-sharp as well, while the 200SX drift-car was ever-so-slightly off-focus (left it in as I liked the composition).
But yes, definitely found my panning technique improving...was playing around with depth-of-field and exposure times until I found something I was happy with (f6.3 with a 1/125th shutter seemed to give the best compromise for my ham-fistedness. Around 150-200mm focal length at Hollywood (middle 4 pics), 300mm at Craner (200SX and Civic)). Now need to find a good spot at Silverstone for Sunday-week...
Have only had the camera for about 6 months, but the flexibility to take hundreds of pics AND to look at them straight after taking them is developing my technique really quickly...learned more this year than in the previous 10 years!!!
