Oops

I downloaded about 100 photos into iPhoto. Downloaded fine and viewed a few within the program. Then shut it down and formatted the card ready for next time.

Then opened the program to view them and they're not there scratchchin

I haven't purposely deleted them and haven't emptied trashcan... so I'm hoping there's a way to get them back.

Any ideas?

Apple Powerbook running OSX Panther.

Ta!

Search in your home folder.

Finder -> Pictures -> iPhoto Library

Then do a manual search. Alternatively, if you know the file name of one of those lost, you could use 'Spotlight' to search for them.

Intriguing.

When I go to these folders, they're empty. Yet when I search for a file... they're there. scratchchin

Is there a way to 'hide' files that I've got in these folders? Maybe thats turned on?

Cheers Andy thumbup

Do you find the iPhoto thing uses iPod battery life at an unbelievable rate ?

I picked one up in the US and it works very well, even when the NEF files are not viewable . . . but it absolutely murders the battery on the iPod - perhaps badly enough to make it not realy very usable ?

The iPod bettery life itself is fine as it's not too old . . .

I'm using iPhoto on my laptop, not iPod, so not much help there.

It is very draining on battery life if I'm using it without being plugged into the mains though.

Andy, I would uncheck the 'delete pics on card after import' in future. better safe than sorry.
