I'm sure some people have done this. I'd like to get some sort of small but decent-ish video camera thing that I can attach to my Cerb to make a driving-around-film. Preferably without too much car hacking and bolting - when it comes to drilling & cutting I know I'd make a hash of it and damage something!
Any ideas, recommendations, guides, URL's?
Cheers

internal or external camera?

The usual way is a suction cap type mount like this (just the first link I found on google I dont recommend it or anything)

Go for internal. I used a suction mount on the side of a car once and discovered afterwards the camera lens had been ruined by flying grit - or maybe I should have used a filter.... damn, didn't think of that!

Ah yeah, bullet cams! That's what I was thinking of. Just couldn't remember the name. I'll have a search around...

Hi!
I've just moved this into the photography/video forum for you. Do a search in here for "bullet cams" and similar - there's lots of info available and many people have gone similarly succesful routes.

Look at the most recent video in my profile (Gorges du Verdon MegaHoon 06) and that was taken with a bullet camera set up commonly recommended here (though remember the quality has been reduced to post it on the internet)

Hope that's of help
Tony

I have the Sucker mount from Hague and their seat/headrest mount. Both are excellent but the sucker mount has much less vibration. Hague service and customer support is excellent. One thing i learnt early on was not to have the blowers on as when the cam is in the window you cant hear bugger all!!! Allegedly it will hold a dv video cam on the outside of the car but i have yet to risk it!

You can compare the two here: (movie with speedo in is headrest mount obviously). Big files (30+mb)
