Experimenting with DJI Nano and Mic Mini whilst out and about in the TVR. Any tips for picking up more exhaust note and less wind noise? ChatGPT suggests below the car tucked back from the trailing edge which I will try.

Have to say that what you've got there is actually quite good.

The optimal set up would be to record the audio into a dedicated digital recorder (even a cheap one will create far better audio than in-camera). Run a small lavalier mic (lapel mic) to the back of the car and tape it close to the exhaust. Trial and error will find you a sweet spot that doesn't suffer from buffeting. Then sync the audio to the video in edit - clap your hands before you drive off and you'll get definitive peak on the both the external and internal audio sound waves to sync against.

However you record audio, if you can, always record to a WAV format. This will give you much more to play with than MP3.
