iPhone 12 Pro vs 16 Pro for photography
Discussion
Ahem...focussing solely on the differences between the iPhone 12 and 16 Pro for photography, is the upgrade worth it?
I'm mostly happy with the still shots I can get but the camera does on occasion feel a little sluggish and perhaps lacking a little bit of control.
Otherwise, my phone is in a good condition both physically and battery and I can't really detect any overall performance issues.

I went 12pro to 16pro, I was the same as you- was happy with the quality of pictures and phone was still doing everything fine. But the photos with the new improved camera are much better (as you’d hope after 4yrs)
the new camera/ sensor is much bigger, so you pics have more detail, allowing you to crop and retain enough detail.
is it enough improvement on its own to justify the cost, probably not. but factoring in how much I use my phone for other stuff, then yeah it’s was worth while.

My son is going on a backpacking trip to New Zealand shortly.
I offered him my old bridge camera (Fujifilm Finepix s4900) to take as it's light, takes a decent range of pictures, and is worth nothing so disposable if he lost it. He said "no" his I phone 16 Pro does everything and more than a bridge camera does.
Is that true? Can everything other than my OM1 get stuffed in the back of a drawer along with the box brownies?
