Not sure where to ask so I’ll try here.
Below is the reverse of a post card I believe sent by my grandfather, possibly pre WW1.
Sadly the stamp has been removed so I can’t date it.
Some of the writing I can make out but any ideas to help read it?

Off to France in Sunday. I wrote this at Freshwater but could not send it as I could not get any stamps.

Well done sir, you have made out more than I have, also looks like 22,,, Nuneaton
Not the most interesting of cards, also looks like some part crossed out with smaller writing at the bottom.

There's more writing above and below the main text, appearing to say 'Dear Nancy' but I can't make out the rest. Perhaps the postcard was first written in pencil, then reused and used again? It might explain the mess in the stamp area too.

It's nice when stuff joins up!

It seems likely the reference to France is him going off to war, which would make it 1914+.

I passed the photo to an expert friend of mine. He says: 'Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Almost certainly pre-1917.'
