July Photo Competition - "Green"

This month's competition subject is Green, which looking back through the wiki, we haven't had as a subject for 17 years, so a lot of time for more green photos to have been captured!

The title should give a wide range of options for subjects, including things coloured green, much of the outdoor environment/nature, and even stuff linked to things being "green" - recycling, organic produce etc..

If you can, try and get out and about to take something new this month, but if that's not possible, have a look through older photos you've taken in the past.

Hopefully there will be a lot of entries which will make choosing the winner a difficult job!


The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
Entries and discussion on a single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Winners should update the Competition Wiki (it's easy)
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

I've tried with various browsers, whilst logged in and logged out of FlickR, and even forwarded the link to my phone, which gives me the following error:



I've had a look at your photostream, and there are some great photos on there, but unfortunately I have no clue which one you are linking to in your post. I have had no problems seeing photos on FlickR linked to by other posters, either on this thread, or on any other thread on PH.

Is there any chance you could upload the photo directly to Pistonheads? When replying to the thread, click on "upload an image" and upload it from your PC.

I'd really like to see your photo, and it would be a shame if I'm unable to consider it for the monthly competition.

All my other photos from Flickr that I've shared using the BBC code from Flickr appear on other PH topics, but seemingly not in the monthly photography competition.

Thanks for uploading it - another excellent photo of "green" - looks like it'll be a hard job deciding the best at the end of the month!

OK so I'm no photographer and I know very little about exposure, light conditions, composition... This was taken on my phone in Mexico back in 2018 and it's a screen grab of the original photo as I doubt you can upload the Amazon photo's file format but when you say green, I always think of this picture.

Looks like the poor chap is waiting patiently at the bar and getting ignored.
