I dont take anything like as many photos as I used, and I think Id like to sack this monthly adobe sub off.

Google suggests a variety of choice, none of which I know anything about.

I could never get on with PS, found it cumbersome and intuitive.

Gelled with LR as its basically sliders, which is about all I need.

I always shoot RAW , and just need something to "develope" my shots, dont need fancy layering and filters etc.

Really want sonehting thats very akin to LR so I dont have spend hours of frustration learning it.

Does the maker of your camera issue free basic RAW processing software?

When I did weddings I used Capture One Pro; now for fun or free stuff I shoot JPG and it's fine for 99% of things (I have PS to wrangle it if necessary)

I got on pretty well with V3 and V4 of Exposure:

https://exposure.software/

Would happily use it instead of Lightroom, but I have an Adobe subscription and use a lot of their other stuff.

I got an email from Leica about their photo app. I deleted it, but I'm sure it is a) free and b) gave LR-lite type options.

I use the main Leica app to download form my camera and it's not on that, it is a new product, if my memory serves me correctly.

Do you use a Mac? The native 'Photos' app is remarkably good.

You could try Darktable. I have no idea how polished it is/isn't.
