October 2023 Photography Competition - The Commute
Discussion
As title says "The Commute" is this months competition.
Rules as usual:
The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month (although in this case there was no previous winner)
Entries and discussion on a single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Winners should update the Competition Wiki (it's easy)
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible

Not remotely new, in fact it's roughly 13 years old, but from a whole series I took after I knew that I was moving away from London and the pain of commuting. I even had a book printed up of this series.

Shooting through glass always often up reflections, and I can even see myself in this, but I still like it as the ceiling lights and gate number highlight the darkening skies, add an element of the passage of time and travelling home from work (which is what I was doing).
(or it could just be a crap photo)
Well, the results - it was pretty tricky this month to judge, all were very good.
1st goes to PomBstard (Just love the composition/timing and framing of this, with the figure in the spokes, who knows, they may be commuting too.
