A search brought up in 2008 that PhotoBox were considered the best at the time.

What are people's thoughts 5 years on?

Is PB still the best? SnapFish comes high up on (sponsored) google.

Anyone else I should look at?

TIA

Depends on what you're after.

My go-to online provider for top notch stuff is Loxely Colour: https://www.loxleycolour.com

If you just have some pics you'd like printed out to stick in a frame, any will serve you well though oddly, I've found Asda to offer remarkable quality.

If it's proper high-end fine art stuff then you really need a local, bricks and mortar outfit that you can go see. Don't know where you are but in Chelmsford there's a company called Blue Sky Printing that are excellent for this. Happy for you to go and watch the thing come out if you like.

I use Simlab. They are good quality, reasonably priced, and very quick. (Prints usually come back the next day.) They achieve this by making you do a bit more of the legwork yourself by uploading images that are correctly sized for the prints you require, but that's simple enough and they have all the info you need on their website. (I use them quite regularly so have made presets in LR to export images for various sizes.)

Photobox weren't even that good in 2008 - I sent the same image to about 10 labs around that time, and Photobox were the worst.

I usually use my local lab One Vision Imaging, especially for bigger prints, or framed, but DSCL are decent at a lower budget too.
