I'm in Singapore for the upcoming race weekend. Passing one of the entry gates that will be in use, I noticed it mentioned that lenses of no larger than 30mm are allowed. Is this strictly enforced? I'll be very disappointed if I can't use my 85mm lens.

Try posting in the F1 forum as well as there will be posters in there who have been or are going to the races.

It's ok, I managed to find the answer. The lens limit is 30cm, not 30mm, so I should be fine with my 85mm lens!

I was going to say it looks like a typo & 300mm was more reasonable.

You'll get some great shots with the 85mm..

300mm is the 'limit' no tri pod either.

Most of the F1 photographers (pros), have you tube day in the life etc.. well worth research these for tips to enhance your experience and enjoyment.. make sure you post a few too! Have a great time.

I imagine the most important rule is not to walk onto the track because the spectator fence is ruining your photos.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll get some decent enough shots and I'll post them here!

Haha, I think I should be able to access viewing areas that see over the fence, but let's see. Certainly, the fence getting in the way was a concern.
