AUGUST PHOTO COMPETITION

The summer break is here. Show us your best car on holiday pic...... where have you been and what have you been driving.
Rules as usual:
The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
Entries and discussion on a single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Winners should update the Competition Wiki (it's easy)
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

My dad and I got lost on the way to Le Mans in the GT40 kit car he built, and we pulled over to get our bearings. I thought it was a lovely picturesque road so I snapped it.
On the train about to go through a tunnel from Switzerland into Val d'Osta in Italy.

Great topic, and bound to get plenty contributions.
This one is quite special to me. My mum was unfortunately given a terminal diagnosis, thankfully still with us, but one of her bucket list tick boxes was to do the NC500 around Scotland so what a perfect excuse to go for a drive, spend some time together, and we even managed to visit our old holiday caravan park from when I was a kid. This was taken in Skye as we looped round, went to the Talisker distillery, Portree etc.
