PS generative AI… anybody tried it?
Discussion
Must confess I don’t use PS or LR, preferring C1 which suits most of what I need and Affinity for the rare occasion I need a pixel editor, but I was drawn into this new PS generative AI beta by seeing some examples.
So I gave it a go and up to now it’s been pretty st, with the generated object not being colour matched to the photo or just totally inappropriate.
For example I opened a woodland photo and asked it to insert a reflective pool in the selected area. Result was a nice swimming pool in my woodland setting.
I’m obviously missing something here, presumably you have to be pretty exact with what you ask it to generate?
Any experiences that can help me learn?

I can't understand all the hype and videos about how good it is, took me a long time to find this...

I found it to be useless myself for anything even approaching quality.

I have tried it a few times - it is remarkable technology but some of the inserts are poor quality/low res. Useful video here on PTC. I have found it best as a tool to remove objects rather than using content aware fill - simply leave the dialogue box blank.
