I was at an antiques and salvage fair in Knutsford yesterday, and I saw this. Other than being some kind of light meter, I'm not sure what it is, does anyone know or have an idea?

There was a screw thread on top to hold a camera. The 4 coloured buttons were for off, dim, 2L and 4L. 2 and 4L and distances are on the exposure guide. The text above the buttons was about setting it to dim first to extend the life of the bulbs. The 4 bulbs on the crossbar were half painted and half clear.

At a guess some kind of handheld lighting rig.

16fps is cine, so perhaps lighting for tabletop film work.
