I need to get a couple of decent new batteries (EN-EL3) for my D200, as the original Nikon ones, being over 15 years old, aren't holding charge so well.

Amazon has several options for aftermarket batteries which may or may not be good. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand please?

I have a Hähnel EN-EL15b pattern battery which has been going well for years in my D7500 and D850.

They don't appear to have an official UK website, so link to what I think is their appropriate battery on their IE website.

Tried an ex-pro en-el15, worked fine initially but refused to charge after a few months.

Gave up and just kept buying nearly new nikon originals from ebay instead.

t'internet is awash with fake Nikon batteries - if you dont want / need a genuine battery, I would definitely buy a branded alternative

Best I've had so far is the Duracell version. Charges to 100% unlike some and lasts ages with low discharge when left in the D90 for prolonged periods.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm not sure which is best, a used Nikon one or a new generic.

Hahnel is a good name. They cost about as much as a new EN-EL3 did, but in the absence of the latter it might be the wisest thing. Didn't know Duracell did them so will look at those too - thanks.

ETA - two Duracells ordered from Duracell Direct. £22 each, free postage and a good brand name too!
