Any microphone/sound experts out there?
Discussion
Hopefully someone here can answer my question. I record videos through my iPhone and use a Rode Wireless Go microphone for the sound. However, sometimes, I have the need to record three people talking. I have a single Wireless Go for myself, and then a dual Wireless Go II for the other two, and normally I have to record them into a separate device and try and balance the audio in the edit. However, I notice that Rode do an adaptor (the SC6L) for two Lavalier microphones to go into one device. So my question is, does anyone know if this will also work to to take the audio from both Wireless Go receivers and put them into the phone as the two audio inputs? One will just have the one microphone attached, the other will have the dual mics.

You just need to be aware of how many tracks you are using. Your Wireless Go II has a stereo jack out which can either be Mic A on the left & Mic B on the right or MicA+B on both ie the mics are mixed. In the latter mode they won't appear a separate tracks on the timeline which is something you might be doing now.
Using the AI Micro you will end up with MicA+B on the left channel & Mic C (you) on the right. you can balance A+B against C but not A against B against C.

That shouldn’t be too much of a problem, and it’s only for videos every now and then. I normally have the other two on one audio track, so I can work with that. Thank you to everyone who has helped. Much appreciated.
