Hi I'm considering buying this and wondering what real life feedback is? Quite like the idea of the 360 camera as an option.

I'll be using it for paddle boarding, sea kayaking and white water kayaking, bike, dog walks. Nothing too spectacular.

I've also compared a Go pro 10 or 11 - had a 7 and got sick of it freezing up.

Also considering the DJI Action 3. Looks like the video comes out darker on this.

Reason I am looking at these 3 - there are better new offers than most are being sold for second hand!! And certainly GP holds its value.

Any views would be appreciated.

I've heard about various cameras freezing, including GoPros, due to heat, but not experienced it myself. Last year I rode around Delhi and the Punjab up to Leh, Ladakh with a Hero 11 on my helmet and Hero 10 on the bars of the bike in 32-34C heat, in the sun and didn't have any problems with overheating. Just make sure you've got the latest firmware and use high quality cards, such as Sandisk Extreme Pro. I sometimes wonder if it's the cards that overheat not the cameras.

GoPro haven't released a new 360 camera and the current one isn't great so if I wanted a 360 camera for use in or near water I'd buy the Insta 360 X3. The reviews of it are almost all very positive.

I have the standard One RS and I do like it. Image stabilisation is really good and it's been really reliable compared to every GoPro I've tried.

One thing it does struggle with is changing light conditions. It's really slow to to adapt going from in the woods to bright sunshine when I'm on the bike.
I've tried lowering the stabilisation to see if it improves but it's still not great. GoPro's are much better for this.

Well I ended up going for the GP11, with a floaty and kayak mounts. Main reason was it seems the best in reviews, and the added flash sale discount helped it come in under £375. This is still cheaper than most are advertised second hand!!
