I've used them loads for buying and selling.
No major issues, of course, sometimes things do go wrong, but they've always got it right in the end. You can end up waiting a long time on the phone sometimes....
WEX are good too, but sometimes only offer credit depending on the item. LCE is another option too.

Would anyone happen to know how MPB work, regarding vat? Im vat registered, so kit i sell needs to have vat on top
Managed to find the answer if anyone interested - Their price is their price, so they just adjust the price to include the vat..... which is a little sneaky if you ask me. As they are a vat registered business, they can claim that vat back. So they make more profit, and me as the seller gets less, as i have to give the vat collected to hmrc.
Oh well, like some say, overall benefit is no hassle compared to ebay, which is sometimes worth paying a little premium for

Used MPB for years to sell high-end and mid-range gear and buy from them. Never any problems and I always find their buy price fair. On a couple of occasions when selling to them they contacted me and said my description of "excellent condition" was wrong they described it as "mint condition" and increased their price to me.

So presumably before quoting they ask if you're VAT registered?
Once youv'e got a quote, you have to email them with your vat number. They then drop the quote by 20%, to allow for you to add 20% on when you invoice themThen again if you sold the stuff on eBay you'd have to absorb the VAT in the sale price, unless you made it very clear in the advert that it was +VAT.
