After insuring potentially 3-4ks worth of camera and lenses in Peru for a couple of weeks, home cover would be nice too given the value

Is there a good insurer who's policy documents don't wriggle out of insuring items under any conceivable circumstance?

Just looking through eversure for example and the policy doesn't cover items for theft when the insured location is unoccupied. If its in a locked room or safe it's covered but only if the entry to room or safe was violent or destructive... so uncovered if the maids come in and clean us out with the master key

Accidental loss not covered when the item is left unattended as well, so basically pointless cover unless someone robs me.

Cheers

I've always used Glover and Howe for specialist photographic insurance.

I'm with Glover and Howe as well, had to claim last year, time from putting claim in to getting money in bank account was 4 days - speaks volumes.

Mine is insured with Ripe. Whether they are any good are not I have no idea, I've thankfully never had to claim.
