And the cheapest, the EOS R10, is under 900 for body only.
The R7 is about 1350, but adds a few features.

If these handle well, have a good menu system, and have great autofocus and low light performance, they'll take a whole chunk of sales from some other makes.

I'm sticking with my 5D3 for now, but I'm beginning to feel the need for lighter gear...

I went mirrorless a few years ago. Great decision for me. While I'd still get backache at the end of a day's shooting, it was lower in level.

I've since bought a gimbal. It was back to backache for a while, so heaven knows what it would have been like with a full frame, but I've rigged a support and it is even less stress on my back.

I’m excited about these cameras - only for the eye af…
It’ll be amazing to have such compact cameras with that capability and will make shooting events a breeze with fast primes.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on the high iso performance but these are a great way to breathe new life into legacy ef Mount lenses.

As soon as I read "greater reach" I stopped reading.

hehe equals 'smaller chip'.

But I empathise a little; when I experimented with FX as opposed to DX I missed the 'reach'... (aka angle of view if you don't work in marketing)

Surely the biggest size/weight saving from an APS-C mirrorless system comes from smaller lenses, but these seem to use the full-size RF lenses, so you are getting the downsides of APS-C, without the benefits.
