I'm looking at a GoPro Max for 360 recording in a race car but it would need to do 2 hour races.

Will a single SD card record this and would the battery last or alternatively is a 12v supply usable for power?

Anything else I should be watching out for??

At 5.7K 30 fps a 128Gb card will give you 130 minutes, which is just enough. You need a really fast card (eg V30) for 360 footage as the bitrate is quite high, otherwise the camera can lock up.

I'm sure you would be better off with hard wired power. I've switched most of my cameras to this and only use batteries for cameras that I place in pdf positions, it makes life much simpler not having to remember to swap batteries at the track.

What are you going to do with 2 hours of 360 degree footage though? It will certainly need some post processing and that's a heck of a lot of footage to edit!

Yep, I’ve been looking at that and it does look like a lot of work to deal with, may need to try a more conventional solution.

Steve, I bought 4 (!) refurb GoPro Hero 4’s on eBay fir £85 each.

You can set up a pretty good multi-cam setup that way and despite what GoPro might say the image quality is pretty much identical to current models.
