I’ve just bought a D750, I previously used a D90 which means (as I understand it) my existing lenses are not making the most of the new camera, I’m looking for a 24-70 lens as a sort of do anything solution, any advice on where to go for decent 2nd hand examples?
Thanks

I've previously and recently got some really good second hand stuff from Wex, Park Cameras and Camera World. All offer great service, decent prices and warranties.

There's a couple of Nikon groups on Facebook worth joining. Often see gear being sold on there (grabbed a couple of Peli Cases from someone on such a group).

You can use your old lenses but you'll not get the full frame experience. You really want to go for FX lenses if you can. More expensive but worth it.

If you can run to it or find a decent second hand one, the Nikon 24-70mm f2.8E lens is an astoundingly good bit of glass. Heavy but that's the price you pay (that and the cash smile ) I've no direct experience of the Sigma equivalent but have other Sigma glass and all are excellent.

Those 3 have good reputations.

MPB are also generally pretty good for used kit.

If you're a member on Talkphotography forum, there are often bargains to be had in their classified ads (although I think you may need to have a certain number of posts to access the classifieds). Some good photography info on there too.

Also check Grays of Westminster, will often have a very good selection.

Also check out usedlens.co.uk (collates data from all UK retailers / Ebay etc).

Brilliant resource.

I know you're sorted, but London Camera Exchange well worth mentioning here too. They're excellent and IMHO offer the best prices from a perspective of sales and part-exchange.

Usedlens as mentioned collates pretty much everything, so is the main go-to starting point for used kit.

Talk Photography (if you have the required post count) is by far the cheapest, if you get lucky and something that you're after comes up.
