How to get genuine SanDisk cards?
Discussion
I've come unstuck in the past ordering a specific make of card from Amazon and ending up with a fake. I've just tried to order some Sandisk cards from what states is the official SanDisk shop, but when the delivery details came through, it was from something called Somoto EU, which may or may not be official, there seems to be no way to tell.
I tried Googling SanDisk but they (weirdly) don't seem to have a web site.
There is an online shop claiming to be in London claiming to be the official SanDisk UK supplier, but again, who knows?
It's not the value of the cards that's the issue, as ever it's the risk of dodgy cards corrupting and losing recorded content.
Any suggestions?

Sandisk have been part of Western Digital for a few years now and you can buy direct from Westerndigital.com eg:
https://www.westerndigital.com/en-gb/products/memo...
They may farm the logistics out to a third party but you'd hope the stock comes direct from the WD supply chain...

As Shiv_P says - Look for the 'Sold by Amazon' on the right hand side of the listing.
Have purchased many Sandisk cards on Amazon this way and never had any issues with fakes.
It's the third party sellers / 'fulfilled by Amazon" sellers that you should be wary of.
Lexar also a good brand to consider as Simpo Two suggests.
Another decent place to look, and again will only sell genuine cards, is Wexphotovideo.com

It's really interesting, for the SanDisk Extreme, you can choose the size you want by just clicking the relevant choice on the page (everything else appears to stay the same, just the price appears to change).
Except that, when you look closely, 32GB is 'dispatches from Amazon, sold by Amazon', but if you select 64GB (which is what I wanted, typical!) it switches to 'dispatches from Amazon, sold by kayz goods'. 128GB goes back to dispatches from Amazon, sold by Amazon'. Then 256GB is 'dispatches from Amazon, sold by KAZA UK'.
I would never have noticed this if I'd not been looking for it thanks to the advice above!
I think I'll order twice as many 32GB cards as the amount of 64GB I was going to get.

It turns out that Western Digital don't sell cards, they just direct you to resellers.
Like Amazon...
Lexar, you say..?
Which cards? I've just gone back to the link I posted early and been able to add 32GB and 256GB Extreme SDHC cards to a basket and start the checkout process without being sent elsewhere. Or does the redirect come later? Like Amazon...

It'll show all sellers
I buy such cards, and USB sticks, from Park Cameras. Their prices are more or less the same, and I am assured that if I have any problem, they will take it back or exchange. Mind you, I've not returned any in over 10 years of using them.
My father used to say that if you buy something worth £10 for £1.10, you've wasted 10p. Buy something for 90p and you might have wasted 90p.
