Morning all,
I know they're grey imports, but they also come with a 3 year UK/EU warranty, but looking at the Canon R6, they're selling them new for £1,920 vs £2,399 for UK official stock, so the difference is huge!
Are there any significant downsides? Is there a risk of being hit with import duties? Is the warranty any good?

I got a D750 from them (a few years ago now) and had no problems with them at all - and no customs duty/VAT to pay either.
I didn't have to use their warranty, but there were a couple of service advisories on that model that required the body to be sent to Nikon UK. The work was carried out without any questions (including another separate issue that arose after the first return).

It might also be worth looking at HDEW.
They currently have the R6 for £1929.
Whilst also grey imports, they are a UK company and have a physical UK office/shop (Surrey), and hold stock in the UK, so there is no risk of customs/VAT etc.. as the camera is dispatched from the UK (3-7 day delivery).
Quite a few people have used them on the Talk Photography forum.
They also offer a 3 year guarantee, which I've never had to use, but a couple of people on Talk Photography have in the past, and they were very happy with the service.
Personally, I've bought a Canon 100mm f2.8L Macro lens, Canon 5DMarkIII, and most recently (a month ago), a Canon EOS R5 from them, and they would be my first choice for any other purchases in the future.

Yet another option is https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/. I've bought and sold quite a bit of equipment from and to them, and am satisfied with their service.

???MPB are a used equipment dealer, whereas the OP seems to be looking to buy a new R6 with a 3 year warranty.
Also MPB don't have any R6 listed in their stock, and even if they did, I suspect they would be more expensive than buying a new grey import. Their used R5 prices are certainly higher than I paid for a new R5 from HDEW a month ago.

Interesting that there's much less difference for lenses.

They had a couple a week ago. As you say, they were more costly.

If potentially considering used, there's an R6 body just been added to the classifieds on TalkPhotography. Interesting that there's much less difference for lenses.
Apparently UK bought in June 2021 with only 2000 activations. They are asking for £1700 delivered.

Think you need to be a member with a post count to access TP classifieds
Oh yes, apologies - forgot about that.Worth posting a few (constructive) things on there to get the post count - it's a pretty good source of used kit usually at reasonable prices, and there's often very good advice/discussion and even photo meets.
(previously bought Wimberley gimball head, Benro video head, Canon 70-200mm f 2.8 IS L, Canon 24-105mm f4 L and a few other bits from there).
I have just bought a Fuji XT4 and lens from them at a useful discount. No problems with everything arriving as expected without extra bills. Like you I was slightly dubious but they seem to have many many good reviews. Haven't tried to use the warranty so can't comment on that, which is the other potential drawback I suppose.
Well, decision made, and I'm now waiting impatiently on a new Canon R6 plus EF control ring convertor.
I'll wait a while for second hand prices on RF-L lenses to make those a little more accessible, so in the meantime I've just picked up an absolute bargain 30yr old 20-35mm f2.8L lens which is absolutely lovely! It feels like it was made yesterday and will likely last another 30 years so long as I store it carefully!

I've just had an update from TNT to say that my new camera will be delivered today instead of Monday! Pretty chuffed with that, given that the Panamoz website is warning to expect 7-15 days at the moment, and above all it means I have it to try out on the weekend, and the weather forecast is actually for dry weather!
