September Photo Competition
Discussion
Sorry for the delay everyone.....I had not checked for a few days!
This months subject is: Landscapes. - (late edit: Just realised that this subject was used recently, but as we now have an entrant, it's too late to change).
It's not a subject that I shoot, but maybe the entries will inspire me to broaden my horizons (no pun intended).
Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please do get out with your gear if you have safe opportunity etc.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
You can only submit one, and only one photo.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Another hard one to pick for... go the traditional route or something a bit different...
Ended up choosing this... my most recent shot (May this year) of Ben Hope in the highlands. The browns of the flow country landscape and mountain offer a nice alternative to the green in most of the rest of Scotland. Also trying to avoid the cliched shots I used to take with a tree or rock in the foreground!
