Inspired by a remark that satans worm made in another thread, which photographers do you follow on Youtube.

A few photographers I follow:

Mike Gray: https://www.youtube.com/c/MikeGrayFilm/featured, a young photographer in Los Angeles. I like the way he appraoches his photography and how he explains what he does and why he does things this way.

Peter Coulson: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1rGqETAL7_rAElj9... An experienced photographer from Australia. Like the accent, like his pictures. He has a fantastic studio.

Laredo Montoneri, https://www.youtube.com/c/LaredoMontoneri/featured... An Italian photographer in New York, His accent is reason enough to watch his videos.

Steve O'Nions, https://www.youtube.com/c/SteveONions/featured. He shoots a lot on large format. Like how he explains his method and his calmness.
Todd Korol, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ33ldV4AWqroqqjD... The Canadian version of Steve O'Nions.

Ian Hippolyte, https://www.youtube.com/c/ianhippolyte/featured. A young photographer from London. I like his modern and new approach to photography.

So, who do you recommend?

Craig Prentis

A decent photographer across a number of formats. Generally has his dog with him!

Nothing recent on his site though - he has been in the wars a bit - but worth looking back through his channel, it's very relaxing.

Nigel Danson
https://m.youtube.com/c/NigelDanson/

UK landscape photographer, very good production values (considering he is shooting himself alone in the field) and always an easy watch. His Lightroom stuff is dead easy to follow too.

Has the 'amateur motorsport photographer' niche been filled on YouTube? Haven't ever found anything worthwhile.

Omar Gonzalez has a lighthearted photography channel that has a lot of tips for Fuji cameras and general tips and tricks. He's an events / portrait photographer mainly so there's a lot about lighting, the Lightroom process, etc.

Nick Carver - large format film, but i think would appeal to any landscape photographer , very relaxing watch

Ben Horn - another large format photographer who is extremely calm and interesting, specialises in Zion national park in USA

Jared polin / fro knows photos - more of a gear reviewer/ latest news, and a bit loud, slightly amusing approach, marmite.

Tony and Chelsea - mainly gear reviewers/ latest news , again a bit marmite,

Matt granger - model photographer

It really like this guy. Also following his van conversion with interest.

However, how do these guys make money? There have been a couple of Heaton's landscapes (usually playing with light) that I have thought incredible and looked to see if there were any prints available, but what's available is such a small subset...

I really enjoy his videos. One of the few who doesn't annoy me with nonsense.

Completely agree with this. Thank you for suggesting Nick Carver, I have spent a few hours watching his very entertaining videos.

I just saw in the comments under a Nick Carver video a comment posted by Ben Horne, it seems they know eachother as well.

Great idea for a thread. Here are a few of my favourites.

Grainydays - Film photography mixed with slightly dark humour

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx4MHIcTdwdcmJ5ac...

Peter Mckinnon - Got to be one of the most successful youtube photographers, I am surprised he hasn't already been mentioned

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3DkFux8Iv-aYnTRW...

Becki & Chris - Really cool life style channel of them traveling around the US and Canada in their own helicopter (the Millennial Falcon) Also some interior design videos amongst the photography content.

Another photographer I follow but I think 3 videos is the most I can watch in a row.

Agree with both of these observations.

I watch T and C if I have a bit spare time and nothing better to do, but not if I want to find out anything particularly useful.

Ewan Dunsmuir - Scottish photographer based in New Zealand doing landscapes. A nice relaxing watch.
