Wasn't sure if this would be better here or the computer section but this made more sense!

I've a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX80 that's getting no use these days and I've been looking at using it as a webcam as it does pretty good video (1080p which is suffice).

Now, it's just a little too old to use Sony's webcam software they released for some of their products last year but I've been looking up a few things and noted it should be managable to use a capture card with the cameras HDMI port and use it as a webcam via OBS or the likes. Now I've never had to do something like this before and I'm not wanting to spend a huge amount but what's the best way to go about this?

It'll be used for some basic work zoom calls but I plan on doing some Twitch streaming type things. I see there's various capture cards/dongles available from £10 to £200. I'm sure I've read a few times that the microphone wouldn't work on the camera when streaming through it so I'd be getting a seperate external mic anyway.

Any help appreciated! PC for reference is Windows 10, have USB 3.0 if that makes any difference for speed/latency.

ETA: Title meant to say device. Fat finger syndrome.
