Looking for some advice for video equipment please.
Discussion
hi, bit of a strange query I guess... So my wife and I enjoy a bit of camping/hiking up north and when we are at home, as we don't have a fireplace in our flat, she likes to put on a YouTube video of a campfire scene that goes on for hours and hours in the background for a bit of 'ambiance' if she's doing some painting/reading/something that doesn't require the tv.
she suggested that this could be something we do when we go camping (chances of her not talking during the hours of recording are up for debate though!)- and make something like these relaxing videos that we can upload and also enjoy ourselves (herself).
I was wondering what camera/mic set up might work? I have an old GoPro 4 silver, and a Sony A6300, and tripod etc. I realise I can't record for more than 30mins on the Sony, but guessing I would get better video than from a GoPro (even a new one as would prefer 4K?)
Would appreciate any thoughts or advice. It's just a passing thought as camping any time soon isn't going to happen during the pandemic. Thanks in advance.

A6300 is going to be way better than any GoPro.
Stick it on a tripod and off you go. Loop it in the edit.
Thanks for the reply, it looks like you can override the 30 min limit on video too... which was not enforced for mechanical reasons but due to a EU tax that is added when a camera can record more than 30 min it becomes a videocamera too +12%Stick it on a tripod and off you go. Loop it in the edit.
Alpha series are great at overheating though so need to figure a way around that.
For audio, you need a mic like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TAKSTAR-SGC-598-Interview...
With a deadcat like this to cut wind noise: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Movo-WS4-Microphone-Winds...
