eBay. Search for them to see a reasonable price.

The first thing to do is check whether batteries have been left in them. If they have, and the batteries have leaked, they may be knackered.

If the battery compartment is empty try them out with new batteries.

These cameras only have value if they work.

Then check prices on eBay - not sure about the Ricoh but there is a bit of a following now for small compact cameras from Olympus.

I’ve found Gumtree is a good way to sell stuff as there are no fees and it attracts a local audience (I know dealers also pick off the deals from this site!!)

Surprised the Olympus one is going for the money it's commanding. Then again I'm used to just buying Soviet camera's for £10.

If it's an Olympus mju, then they are featured on many photography blogs as a great camera for beginners to film photography. I recently bought an mju II, prices vary from about £120-200. For an easy sale you could contact a local photography shop - I bought mine used from one.

I naively put a Mju ii on ebay a few years ago expecting to get a tenner or so and was a little surprised that it went for £100+. Nice little cameras. Seem to have a following.

I have a bunch of old film SLR cameras. Mostly Olympus OM and Minolta SLRs. One of them is an Olympus OM1 that my mother bought for her research project in 1982. I still have brand new roll of film which came with it that expired in 1986.

OM1 is a lovely camera and there is almost nothing to go wrong on them.

Yep, she used it a handful of times because it plugged into the microscope she was using, aside from that. Its brand spanking new. I still have a spare PX625 battery for it. It's a shame that they did not make the OMD compatible with the lenses. My Minolta AF lenses work perfectly with my Sony camera. I put them to good use at Goodwood last year.

Moved them both on to a camera enthusiast, thanks for the replies.
