Just seen the new Sony A7C announced. It’s looks a real weapon... compact system camera dimensions, full frame sensor and interchangeable lenses.

I was considering an RX1R as something small with a full frame, but this seems to be the answer.

Lack of control dials being the annoying 'feature' for me (a fan of the A6000 and A7 series). That issue definitely got old on the A6500.

But the A7 sensor with IBIS in a small package with swappable lenses will fly out of the shops at £900 or so. Oh wait...

I was quite excited when I saw the name, hoping they had made an A6*** with a higher resolution.

I am a big Sony fan, having moved from Canon, but surely a higher resolution A6*** would have made more sense? To get any real advantage from the full frame sensor you would have to use FE lenses to avoid crop mode, where E lenses are a better physical size for the camera. I can't imagine that many people with an A7 would want to downsize to a compact or that a6*** owners would want to use crop mode with their existing lenses.
Presumably it's a headline grabbing full-frame compact that works great with the kit lens.

Not for me at nearly £2000.

This is going for over $3000 here, my original A7r was under 2k and included a metabones adapter! wtf
