Photo Scanning App

Apologies if already covered, I canm't see it if it has.

I need to scan at a high quality maybe 500 old photos. I don't mind a USB physical type scanner but it has to be very very fast (my printer cum scanner takes a minute to scan at high res a single photo). But I am assuming mobile app is the way to go. I am not interested in storing in the cloud I want to store all on my PC.

I believe the latest Google scanning app is the best but would be interested in your views. Thanks in advance.

My old Canon LiDE 210 scanner is quicker than my Epson AIO printer/scanner, a used one might be an option (mine was £2 on the car boot sale). Probably quicker (depending on size) to scan more than one at a time and then split them, minimising scanner warm-up and head return time.
