As the thread title says, i'm looking at several cameras loosely around the £300 mark some more expensive some less, but ultimately i'm trying to find a camera which has some zoom but which excels at low light photography, i don't want a bridge camera as i already have what i consider to be a great bridge camera,a Fuji HX50EXR which is hugely capable but somewhat cumbersome when you're in a National Trust property, i also have no intention of moving to a DSLR as i can't be arsed with changing the lenses and messing around with stuff, the HX50 does most stuff really well, but it's a bit of a lump, so i'm looking for recommendations for a good low light point and shoot with some zoom for around £300, please!!

Ok if a mod wants to delete this thread feel free, after some protracted research, some grunting, a deep discussion with my wife which included her telling me to A) stop being a tit, B) you should have bought the Sony RX100iii that you saw on offer on the weekend when i told you to and C) for Christs sake just fking buy one!!!! I did just that and bought.....................................................
A Panasonic Lumix TZ100 from John Lewis, it does everything i want on paper and they have the colour i wanted with a case and extra battery for £399.99 including a 2yr warranty!!
If there's any interest i'll review it when it arrives.

Please get a mate to take a picture of you at work in front of some large machinery. So we see the image quality, obviously. smile

Great, remember you're deciding between cameras for your hobby. Not deciding which way to go for a replacement heart valve - pig valve and artificial valve both have pros and cons, I believe.

Enjoy your camera. And thank your wife for her common sense !
