Well had a go last night ... Not that I would call my attempts Astro Photography !!

Shame the pictures don't do Jupiter and Saturn justice they were pin sharp with Jupiter's bands clearly visible.

Moon was low on the horizon so shooting through atmosphere. Would have been better to wait till around 03:30 but by 02:30 everything was dripping with condensation and my back was knackered ....

Good effort. Did you not try and get Neowise? It should be out again in low Norther skies tonight from 2330 on.

I didn’t know about it till this morning when I saw another pic. I did try to find Andromeda and while I had my iPad and knew exactly where it was I couldn’t find it !

I discovered finding stuff is not easy ... Even took me a few minutes to find the moon !

Sky Map app is good - just point your phone to the sky it'll tell you what's there.

ISS is out multiple times tonight too.

I’ll check it out. Been using Star Walk for years. Saw ISS last night it was incredibly bright.

Meade 90mm Scope which is setup as a spotting scope not an astronomical scope. Meade 3000 25mm Plossl - Meade 4000 26mm Plossl - Meade 4000 40mm Plossl - Meade 2x Telenegative Amplifier - Sony RX100 IV held to the eyepiece which is about the most frustrating and un-scientific thing you could ever do !

Same size scope but a Canon EOS 6D on a T-ring so it was easier to shoot that holding over the eye piece.

That was my first go round at it last night, I was pretty impressed for a first attempt. Think I need to play around with the ISO etc a bit to see if I can improve the detail.

Thanks smile Yeah shot it in RAW. That's just the image "as is" no editing, I have no idea what I am doing with editing but will have a play about with it and see if I can improve it, I think the lower part is a little over exposed but like I say I am a complete novice (all the gear no idea) so I could be completely wrong lol

biggrin looks good as is you will be astonished with results you can achieve with all kinds of photography when shooting raw then processing. I had no idea either when I started ! Just grab the software and have a play.

That's a cracker. Makes my hand held attempt look a bit sad ! Have you tried Jupiter or Saturn ?

I have so much to learn both in terms of imaging and editing. Love the pics of the moon and nebulae!
