Flickr app on iPhone
Discussion
Hi folks,
First off, am using a 18moth old 128GB iPhone SE running the latest iOS and Flickr app.
I've noticed that when scrolling the photos on Flickr it's no longer smooth, almost like its trying to download the photos even they are all loaded.
The other problem I've noticed is that the Flickr app is draining the battery at an alarming rate and certainly more than any other app.
I've experimented with taking photos on the iPhone then watching to see if the battery level drops but it is completely normal, and watching YouTube videos doesn't cause similar grief, but a few minutes viewing Flickr and I can watch the percentage drop like a stone.
Any other folks encountering the same issues, any suggestions to fix the problems, and nope I don't want a larger phone, this is perfect for me
Cheers in advance...

Sorry about the late reply PistonHeads decided to log me out and I've had a few tech issues getting back in again - like forgetting my password!
It's definitely the Flickr app that is killing the battery life on my SE, I resurrected an old iPad Mini for basic internet and Flickr browsing which has worked astonishingly well and doesn't seem to be affected by the battery drain and the SE has gone back to it's normal self of lasting a day and a half between charges.
I'm not sure why Flickr is killing the battery life on the SE but for now I'm quite happy with the compromise.
As a footnote I can't actually believe that the base model iPad Mini MK1 is still working as well as it does, so a testament to Apple indeed. Thank you.

Must admit I had a load of apps running in the background which I have since closed in order to figure out what was killing the battery, then proceeded to open up the Flickr app to browse the photos and watched in astonishment as the battery level dwindled down in realtime.
As a bonus to all of this I watched a very useful YouTube which provided some very useful tips on how to reduce drain on the iPhone battery which may be of use to other iPhone owners because some of the tips were pretty good especially about stopping the tracking apps. Highly recommended.

Ought to mention that Flickr updated the app a couple of days ago so it will be interesting to see if that has any effect on the performance.
