anyone going to be putting an order in for the x-t4?
seems like some really decent updates over the 3 Mainly ibis and battery the flippy vlog screen not bothered about really.
Everything else should be released on the 3 via firmware but obviously it might not!
I just sold my sony a6000 that ive never enjoyed using it always felt too small and uncomfortable when using it.
im in a two minds do i go for a 4 or a 3 and pick up a new bargain price drop camera or a used one from someone upgrading and hope the 3 gets the firmware updates to speed up the af and other bits

well bugger not expected till late april early may and i need it for mid april
So x-t3 or a7iii then
You are in a lucky position with having no present 'investment' in one particular brand's lensesSo x-t3 or a7iii then
which might tie you to their bodies - you have a clean slate!
What do you want to photograph?
If it's something that involves long lenses, you might not want to lug around a FF system.
If you regularly need to shoot at a high ISO, FF would be far the best. etc. etc..

Or if you want IBIS, the X-H1 is on a stunning good offer at the Fuji Refurb Store https://shop.fujifilm.co.uk/digital-cameras/refurb...So x-t3 or a7iii then

Why not the 16-80?
Its a good option if you want weather resistance, but its not super sharp at either end, the 18-135 is also quite a good option for WR, again its not as sharp as the other zooms but does have very good OIS (not a requirement with an X-H1)If it was me I'd be taking the XF18-55 (£250 used), the XF16 F1.4 (again s/h £550) which is an absolutely stellar lens and probably the best prime that Fujifilm make, and the 50-230, I'm not a long focal length shooter, so I would save the weight and take the plastic option, that would leave a bit of funds to get a standard low light prime (something like the Zeiss 32mm F1.8, or Xf35mm F.14 or even one of the 7artisans MF lenses)
With the exception of the 16-80 and the 7artisans lenses, I have owned or still own all the lenses mentioned!
But then again, I could quite happily go very lightweight and take X100F/X100V and WCL converter.
Its only a restriction in your head!!! Despite having owned loads of interchangeable lens cameras, and buckets of lenses, I feel my best shots are taken with the X100 series cameras.
The F and the V both also have a digital teleconverter option which is surprisingly good even though it is JPG only, this will work with the converters attached as well.
I have done whole holidays with just an X100 series camera, yes you have to work a bit harder, but it has the huge advantage of being light weight, easily slipped into a bag/rucksack, large pocket. Much more family/wife friendly than phaffing about changing lenses etc.
These 3 holidays were X100 series cameras only

You will appreciate not lugging loads of gear about in hot/humid environments!!

Street or general then XT-3 with 18-55 would cover a lot of bases and could be a one camera / lens only option if packing space is limited. Small, light and importantly quite discreet.
If you're out at night / low light and want to capture the hustle and bustle of city nightlife then the small wide aperture prime already recommended would be a real bonus, or if you can find one, the little pancake 27mm f2.8 lens. Yes the optical quality will not be as good as that F1.4 prime but it will likely be good enough if you're not selling your images. That on the XT-3 and it's almost a pocketable combination and so light you won't notice you are carrying it.
Birds in flight with the XT-3 is doable but I have found still a bit of a challenge as the tracking AF is definitely not as good as the Sony A7 and some other DSLRs. You definitely need to put the camera into performance mode which eats up battery life. That can be extended of course by having the bolt on grip with an extra 2 batteries but then you add weight. The 100-400 is a great lens for birds / wildlife and even if you have that & battery grip then the combination is still a lot lighter than a similar full frame setup. It's a compromise but I've not regretted moving to the Fuji system a few years ago.
It might not be a concern to you but video on the XT-3 seems quite decent too if you want to shoot both stills and a bit of video footage.
