Toying with nipping over for F1 testing next week purely to grab some photos. What's the place like these days for the amateur snapper?

Last time I went was '97 so I assume it's a catch fence-fest but can you get close enough too the fencing to shoot through with a long lens?

There's double catch fencing there these days so the spectator fencing and then a second fence on top of the concrete wall between the service road and the track.

There are plenty of opportunities to get above it though. I've always had accreditation when I've visited but I'll usually wander into the spectator areas to get something a bit different and have never been disappointed.

Just got back and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. As you say, no shortage of space and places to shoot from and those oil drum bins come in handy!!

Just one of many I'm ploughing through!
