Just a word of warning I've had some real issues with GoPro of late and it seems like many others are too according to their instagram pages.

I ordered a gopro hero7 black on trade in about 4-5 weeks ago and I've had all sorts of waffle about system problems and dispatch problems. Then I was told 2 weeks ago it was resolved and would be posted expedited mail but still not received it and they are now repeating the same statement about system problems. When I challenged them about sorting out their process and putting some fall back contingency processes in place, they laughed.
Others haven't received warranty support or refunds from them.

Looking at their share price they seem in trouble. However I've now cancelled the order and pending refund. As usual I bought it using my credit card and if in 2 weeks I've not received said refund I will have my bank do a chargeback. I've given GoPro fair warning of this.

I actually went to Halfords in the end using top cashback and got some discounts and it included an SD card. The device itself is amazing. The company isn't.

So warning given smile

I have a simple solution to this sort of thing that I apply whenever buying any major bit of kit.

I go to a shop. Buy it. And come home with it. There's rarely any price difference and if there is and you ask, they will normally price match.

GoPro hero 7s can be found in Curry's, John Lewis and others, normally in stock or available the next day.

I only buy consumables and low-cost add ons on line. The one recent exception is a gimble that I found that's remarkable for the price.

As for the corporate health of GoPro.... for many years they had the market to themselves. They don't any longer and would suspect that this is impacting on share price and the like. This is likely to be a re-setting of the value of the company but I don't anticipate them to go bust anytime soon.

Except of course, the shop that sells GoPros is 150 mile round trip, and they won't have any in stock.

Buy online and I get it the next day (most of the time).

And it's ALWAYS cheaper.

Depends where you live wink
