Help with DJI phantom 3 pro

Hi all
I bought a 3 yr old DJI as in title, boxed and unused. An unwanted gift. I paid a couple of hundred for it as a gift for my OH.

Can anyone advise an idiots way of updating the firmware as so far all attempts from researching on line have failed.

I’m hoping that as its old it will still be doable or have I wasted my money?
