I think this is a fab shot of an American Bald Eagle from the BBC new site.

I think it's ok but I'm not sure why everyone is going ape over it. When they swoop down like that they're doing a fairly smooth consistent speed over a predictable flight path so not difficult to capture if you're in the right place.

But then I am spoilt as I visit a falconry centre fairly often so might be harder to please
