I seem to have this issue no matter how tight i try to tighten the screw into the camera, especially on portrait position

Am i missing something ? I would of thought an additional metal 2 mm or so upright on the bracket that could slot into the camera would of made sense to hold it firm instead of just a screw in the middle?

I can buy a L bracket, will this stop the issue, does it clamp the body somehow and not just rely on the center screw?

Thanks

Has it the plate (and camera) got a rubber bearing surface?

Op - the screw into the camera maybe slightly too long, so when it is tight, it’s hitting the end of the thread insert and not clamping the plate. Try a washer between the screw and the plate and see if it bites.
