Anyone gone to Zion National Park?
Discussion
Zion is beautiful with great photography opportunities everywhere. Best tips I can give is travel light and head out early. I don't know how busy it will be at the time of year you'll be there but there are some great opportunities when the sun is low leaving half the valley in shadow. Angels Landing is worth the hike up but it's not a casual stroll hence why you should travel light.
Also don't dismiss the one road town of Springdale which is quiet photogenic in its own way

I stayed in the Driftwood Lodge hotel in Springdale, beautiful views from there and a really nice restaurant attached. There was a bus stop just outside for the buses to the National Park so it was nice and handy for getting in and out. Springdale is a pretty town as the canyon carries on out of the park (if that makes sense) so there are views all along the road. Bryce Canyon is not that far away if you want to combine the two in a trip.

Out of interest where did you stay, in the park, camping or town outside?
How long would you recomend to go there for?
We stayed in Springdale at the Cliffrose Lodge which is right at the 'top' of town by the park entrance. This was very convenient as it meant we could walk straight into the park and hop in the shuttle without needing to either catch another bus from the bottom of town. Great for being in early. How long would you recomend to go there for?
If I remember rightly we stayed 3 nights in Springdale giving us 2.5-3 days in the park which seemed about right. We then moved on to Bryce Canyon via Cedar Breaks National Monument and ultimately road tripped our way through Capitol Reef, Dead Horse, Arches and ending at Bonneville.
