Which memory card for Cyber-shot RX100?

Hi, need to buy a card but confused by all the different types and jargon. Would a 'SanDisk Ultra SDHC Memory Card Up to 80 MB/s, Class 10 FFP, 16 GB, Black/Grey' (copied and pasted from Amazon) work in my Sony Cyber-shot RX100 or is there a better card for my camera? Thanks

U3 is a newer standard than U1 and has a higher data transfer rate.

I've got the 64GB version of this in my RX100 m4 because I shoot some video, so I figured bigger was better (my card is also SDXC not SDHC) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01J5RHBQ4/ref...

Yes it would work fine. (I have a slower one in my RX100)

Just make sure you get one 'sold and delivered by Amazon' as there are loads of fakes out there.

Brill - thanks guys. Good reminder re buying from Amazon - even if it's a few quid more I always try to buy directly from Amazon as opposed to third party sellers on something like this.

Apologies if a daft numptie question: Does picture quality differ from card to card or is quality purely down to the camera itself? I bought the RX-100 on solid reviews it received, and admittedly the pictures seem good (certainly better than iphone SE! but there are so many gadgets and settings on it that I could do with a quick guide to see if I've not clicked something I shouldn't of

Depends which variant you have, but you may require an SDXC card to enable high FPS and 4K video recording.

I think it's just the mk1 - bought it from John Lewis 2 years ago. Approx £300-350 from memory

In that case I think you'll be fine with SDHC.

The type of card will have no effect at all on the picture quality.
