I am considering buying a GoPro for an upcoming family holiday to Disney World along with other duties at home. It will need to get wet/splashed which is one consideration and I plan to buy a gimbal to use in conjunction with it.

Initially I was looking at a Session camera with a Feiyu G5/G6 gimbal which would cover me from the wet/splash point of view. Then someone suggested that the Hero might not be ideal as no viewfinder so difficult to see what your filming - didn’t consider that!!!!

So can anyone give me any advice on what might be a good combo, don’t want to spend loads as it’s use will be limited.

Cheers

Get the Sony x3000r or whatever the newest one is, it has optical steady shot unlike the digital steady shot on the GoPro.

You would be less likely to need a gimbal with one of those.
