6d and 24-105L lens starting to perform a little strange over the weekend. Lots of vibration from the lens as it tried to focus and in some instances adjust the aperture.

I tried to re-create when i got home so i could try different lenses and point the finger at either the body or the lens, however, i couldn't.

If anybody has experience of this fault, has it been the lens or the body that is faulty?

I had a 24-105 do this. I tried a few different lenses and found it common to the lens. It turns out there is an internal ribbon cable that gets damaged. It was a fairly expensive repair but cost effective.

Thanks. I've made enquiries with a couple of repair places to get prices for the lens to be fixed.
