So took my 6 to London where on my first day I got a error 30 come up.
After some internet research it seems it was a shutter issue, and a work around was to select manually clean in the options forcing the shutter to flip.
This worked and I then clicked through 5-10 times with no issues however when I went to take an actual picture it stuck, this time shutter open.
After more ‘manual cleaning ‘ it unstuck only to get stuck once more the next time I tried to take a picture.
So shutter is buggered
Online states 4-500usd fix, and that was posted a few years ago!
Does anyone have a fix or know if it really does cost this much?
I was looking to buy a new body but really wanted the upcoming 5ds but this is not released until 2019 so right now I’m not sure what to do:/

I've had shutters replaced on both my 5D and old 1D, I used Fixation in London who did a good job.

Thanks, not quite as bad as I thought, as long as the usd amour is a fair equiv.
Must admit one side of me hopped it would allow the man math upgrade to a new camera:-)
