Could anyone recommend a decent bag to suit a Canon M5 with 18-55 EF-M lens, plus enough space for a EF-S 55-250 and maybe another small lens/convertor (22mm etc). I'd prefer a shoulder type bag, ideally something with a clip rather than zips, but anything considered. I'm looking for a compact bag, not something too bulky.

Thanks.

I've always liked Domke canvas bags because they are thin and light, so a lot less bulky for their internal size than many other bags. The flipside of course is that they have less padding and therefore less protection than some other bags. For a walkaround bag that's a fair tradeoff in my eyes. Their original style bags just have simple metal clips to secure the top flap. I'm not sure exactly which model would suit you best, I have an F-3 which is my go-to small bag, and a much bigger one too.

Edit: The F5XB might be a better bet for mirrorless than the F-3X.

If you want something that will last a lifetime, then Billingham are the bags to have. Something out of the Hadley range should suit.

Not cheap, but very well made

Thanks guys - The Billingham ones are a bit steep - more than both my lenses cost! The Domke one looks good, but I don't really like the velcro.

Ah, I hadn't noticed the velcro; mine has a clip. Although I still use my Billingham very occasionally, it was long ago replaced by a big Domke for most stuff. I've more recently got a ThinkTank backpack bag for when I need to carry lots of stuff. Shoulder bags aren't good for your back if you're carrying 2x DSLR, 6x lenses, flashes, bits and a laptop!
