Looking at getting a Canon M6 with the usual 15-45 lens.

There’s a huge price discrepancy online, from just over £400, eg:

https://www.eglobalcentraluk.com/canon-eos-m6-mirr...

To £850+, eg:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=canon+m6&sa=...

All the well known suppliers are at the top end, the less known (to me) at the lower end.

What’s the disadvantage of paying £400+ less for - apparently - the same thing? What’s the catch? Did I miss where one is new, the other used?

Assuming that if something looks too good to be true, it usually is, where’s the best place to buy a camera like this? Online or the local Jessops or what?

Thanks.

Grey market imports. Likely no tax paid, you run the risk of getting stung if it’s posted from abroad.

Panamoz are very good in my experience if you want to save some cash. I’ve never had issues with them, and my wife has spent thousands with them without any problems. They have their own warranty and an office in Brighton.

I've been looking at these then realised that the model it replaced, the M3 is all I really need.

Following some on eBay currently at £200 and have seen them new for £350 to £450.
