What DJI Drone
Discussion
I want (not need but this is PH) and I have about £1k burning a metaphorical hole in my pocket
The question is which one with a fly more package
I have pretty much discounted the Spark, love the idea of the Mavic Platinum Pro, but it is costly.
The Air looks good, but do I wait for the mooted Mavic 2 and see what that does to costs or how the specs stack up.
Who’s got what and how do you fine it?

Mavic Pro is probably the one to get just now.
The mavic air looks great but the WiFi Connection puts me off.
Mavic 2 has been talked about for ages, then the Air turned up. I would be surprised if the Mavic 2 is significantly better as it will almost kill the phantom market if it is.
Phantom 4 pro is the one to get if image quality is the priority.
I've got a phantom, inspire and recently bought a Mavic Pro, but I've sent it back yesterday due to the dreaded hello effect. Hopefully it's replacement will be better.

any views on what the best one is right now? looking at sports (hockey & tennis) filming...
Best is a question that can’t be answered without an idea of budget. The freefly system is fab, but costs £16k.I have the DJI phantom 4 pro plus, which is up there for semi sensible money, and produces 44mb raw still files and 4K vid. (The ‘plus’ bit means It has it’s own screen which is the best bit about it... no faff with tablet/phone and I’m airborne in under 30 seconds from stopping the car). Good luck.

I'm thinkinf about the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum - so budget wise under £1500...
There are quite a few reviews on Youtube comparing the Mavic Pro to the Mavic Air, and each has it's pros and cons. If you are looking at those two as a choice, then your own preferences would determine which one would suit your needs the best.
From memory, the Pro has better range, is quieter, has a longer flight time.
The Air is a bit quicker, is smaller so more easily transportable, has a better camera, and has gimmicks like hand gesture control.
I am sure there is more, but that is what stuck in my mind when I was comparing them both.

If I had a budget of let’s say £500, any recommendations?
