Is there currently a better camera phone than the Nokia Lumia 1020? For example are any of the Sony Experias better - such as the XZ1, ZX premium or the XA2? I know the Sony's quote 23Mp against the Lumia's 41Mp but how does the camera sensor size compare.

Thanks

Samsung S8 or S8+.

Or wait for the Samsung S9 in a few weeks.

The Google Pixel 2 is supposed to be the best on the market. Not just the sensor but the image processing software.

On small sensors, such as on phones, MP isn't really a reliable guide of quality.

I just replaced my Xperia Z5 with a Pixel 2 and can confirm the Pixel is much better.

And apart from taking great photos, battery life is great (more so because it's still new) and it charges super quick. The downside is that it uses a different USB adaptor so I had to buy a few spares. You also need an adaptor (supplied) to plug in standard headphones.

Would highly recommend this phone.

I always thought the Lumix CM-1 was an interesting idea ..

A 1inch, 20mp sensor in a phone... Well, a 1inch sensor in a slim camera that can make phone calls and runs the android OS.

Unfortunately , for an Android phone, it was far too expensive when released, and because of it's rarity, has remained expensive on the used market. £500 on ebay should get you one.
